Samsung has the most number of offered tablets in the worldwide market today. Its tablet line-up is so packed that it is split between two collections - the Galaxy Tab and the Galaxy Note. Rumors say that the Galaxy Note 8.0 mixes the best of both the Galaxy Tab and the Galaxy S.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a probable retail price of Php23,990 (WiFi+3G) and will be released in the Philippines on April 13, 2013.
It is about Php2,000 more expensive than the iPad Mini WiFi+3G but we think Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100 (WiFi+3G) already has that price point covered at Php15,000.

I like the Note 8 way better than the mini--just too many features particularly multitasking capabilities. The 1.6 GHZ engine runs this thing with no stutter. JMHO.
You are right the Note is better than the ipad mini in terms of special features. :)
