An earthquake shook structures in the Philippine's capital Manila last Thursday. Fortunately, there were neither reports of damage in properties nor fatal casualties.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivocs) Chief, Renato Solidum stated that he did not expect collateral damage in the capital. He added that it struck the rural areas in the north.
According to the US Geological Survey, the quake happened at 10:27am which had a magnitude of 5.3. The epicenter of the quake was located 158 kilometers northeast of Manila with a depth of 38 kilometers.
