However, these phones are almost identical. And some resellers tag the Cherry Mobile Flare higher than Php 3,999. So the Cherry Mobile Burst is a good alternative. And Flare is almost always out of stock. :)

Delete@Anonymous: Capable po mag-Wi-Fi hotspot ang Cherry Mobile Flare. Nasa wireless networks po ang setting na yan. So if unlimited ang data-connection mo you can use this as a broadband modem. :)

Deletei have a flare and my sister has a burst and seeing both phones side by side, the flare beats the burst. i dont know how other bursts are performing but her phone seems to have some bugs, like at some point mawawala ang photos niya, maghahang ang phone niya, which leaves her nothing but to keep on rebooting her phone. and sabi autofocus daw ang cam ng burst which isnt true. cant believe they still claimed it to be (i'd still give it a chance, maybe i just wasnt able to find it yet on the settings). but what i like about it is ung sound output ng headphones when you play music. even thought about swapping phones kasi we know naman na mahina ang sound output ng flare, but eventually tumanggi ako dahil mas marami pa ring pros ang flare.

DeleteSir a little question lang po, based on your experience, madali bang uminit ang Flare? At kapag uminit siya gaano kainit? May Burst kasi dito sa bahay, wala namang problema ang bilis pa nga niya at very snappy actually; ang problema lang talaga, madali lang talaga siya uminit at kapag uminit siya, mainit talaga.

If you are just using the Flare for little texting, calling, browsing (Wi-Fi) hindi umiinit. But if you play with it (Hill Climb, Racing Games, Candy Crush) for long hours, talagang umiinit pero manageable na man. (Ibig sabihin mahahawakan pa, hindi nakakapaso).hehe
DeleteBut if you are browsing using 3G or HSDPA, mapapaso ka sa init after 2 hours of continuous use.
A cheaper alternative to the CM Flare/CM Burst is the CM Click. You can check it out. :)

ReplyDeleteRooting an adroid phone means you have the administrator rights sa phone mo. If you are admin, you can get bloatwares that hamper your phone from optimized performance. In simple terms, you can make your phone smoother and faster. Caution lang, if rooted po ang phone, void na warranty mo. :)

Deletehi rooting is the best way to enjoy your phone totally. you can customize your phone for better, install custom rom {xda developers] and remove unnecessary programs bloatwates that eat ram.

Brick phones are categorized to two types
Hard Brick and Soft Brick
Soft brick phones usually hangs at boot and boot loop sometimes { can be fixed by softwares programs ,usb and etc]
Hard brick phones do not open when you press power button { probably cannot be fixed by softwares and can only be fix at datacenters] be careful hardbrick will totally make your phone a trash.

Latest: Hmmm hindi ko pa nakita ang firmware ng bagong release na burst, but as stated by allyn cubero, may autofocus daw. Try the camera if it can autofocus. If it can, probably latest release ito.
Screenshot: Try to press and hold Power Button + Volume Down or Power Button + Volume Up.
dowload ka superuser and root checker from play then check kugn rooted na...baka kasi pre-rooted nayang burst like fusion bolt.

I have posted here a lot of good phones from Cherry Mobile and other local brands. Gamitin nyo na lang po ang search box sa taas. Meron pong CM Click, Burst, Hyper, Flame, Thunder etc.
DeleteAdvantage po nito is that there are a lot of Flare users, marami kang matatanugan kung may problema. Ok din ang performance ng phone na ito. Medyo batt lang po ang mahina. Pero research po kayo dito sa site marami po kayong mapagpipilian.

I own a Flare and these were the things that I have noticed.

1. Coming from iPhone 4G and Sony Xperia Neo V, the camera sucks. Even with taking videos.
2. The battery is so low that it's wont last a day with constant text and calls, plus music playing and browsing.
3. Creaky back cover.
4. Problem with reading external SD card.
5. Bug with messaging.
6. Most of all, the thing that I really hate about my Flare, sobrang hina nang sounds. I even using Phillips Oneil Thread In-Ear and Skullcandy Earphones.
Pros:
1. IPS display.
2. Easy to root and flash.
3. Dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon Chipset clocked at 1.2Ghz.
4. Dirt cheap for only P3999 (some do sell it for P4200 with jellycase).
Just get the CM Hyper instead. Or buy a CM Basic phone for P700 plus CM Fusion Bolt Quad Core Tablet for P3999.
Tama itong review mo sa Flare. But for me ok lang ang volume ng Flare. Hindi kasi ako sanay sa loud noise. :)

minsan di na nadedetect si SD card...regarding messaging, yung thread messages/chat messages nya dapat di SENDER > RECEIVER > SENDER, naencounter ko yung next message nung person to me napupunta sa taas. pero ok na sya nung inupgrade ko to V37 and galaxy flare. sa sounds talaga mahina sya. mas mahal ko pa din sa FuBo ko kesa sa kanya pagdating sa sounds.

DeleteI bought my CM Burst last may 6 and so far i have no problem on this phone yet... i guess, it is the new version of burst because it is so smooth and fast... doesnt even lag when i open so many apps and games all at once. the internet experience is so fast that u dont have to wait for the loading process... is somebody know here how to have a free internet using this phone?

DeleteMay ibang burst na may problema sa audio. like ung burst ko, i had to replace it 3 times ksi ung music player nia laging putol putol ang pag play. kaya naghanap nlng ako ng ibang phone na mabibili instead of sticking sa burst.

Delete@anon...VGA lang kasi and sabi mo pa dim light gamit mo...definitely grainy and mas marami kang noise artifact nyan...di lang naman Burst ang may ganyan. try mo kapag nasa maliwanag ka ok quality nya.
Deletenics patawa lang at nabricked ko si Flare...ito pala mangyayari kapag nireflash mo ulit si flare sa stock rom na V37...mawawala yung pagka-ROOT nya...twice kong ginawa and same result, UNROOT si Flare.
Deletehahaha gamitin mo na lang yung galaxy flare mo vinci. Nakastock rom pa itong sa akin. Natry ko ng flash noon pero luggish eh. Binalik ko na lang sa v37.hehe pero thru sdcard ako nagflash. :)

DeleteYes latest po yan. I think it is 4.0 ICS. In terms of SD, go for SanDisk (4GB). Yan kasi gamit ko. :) Pihikan po kasi ang Flare sa SDcard. Ipatry nyo na lang. :)

Nope...One number per unit lang po...unless may way ka to have 2 Viber apps sa isang unit mo. Viber is an App which will integrate to your phone not on you SIM. ~vinci24

But I talked to one Graphics agent and they said that the new releases are better in audio and gyro. If you are looking for a phone, then I recommend this. You should try the model first before purchasing.

DeleteBought a Burst last week. Performance wise e okay nmn xa. Rooted and Tweaked(Personal Custom ROM), ito 6 hrs. Gaming(straight) 12+hrs Wifi(likewise) Snappy and d nag'llag s mga HD games (Cut the Rope). So far, mas gusto q n ang Burst kesa s Flare ng pinsan q kase s handling size. :)

ReplyDeleteJust make sure na naselect mo yung sim ng globe for mobile data. Hindi po kakainin ng load ng sun.pero just to make sure, off nyo po data connection nyo if not in use.

Delete@anon di ba kapag nagbabrowse ka naman tatanungin kung what sim gagamitin mo? kalikutin mo po settings or ito gawin mo...delete mo yung wap setting nung sun mo para kahit maopen mo di magcoconnect. basta ang gagana lang dyan sa browsing e sim1 since sya lang may 3g/wcda. gsm network lang yung sim2. ~ vinci24

ReplyDeleteTama po yang ginawa nyo na nagtanong-tanong kayo bago bumili. I am also a flare user. In terms of performance ok po tlga. I am not so sure about the Flare being compared to the HTC desire. Wala po kasi akong HTC phone, mahal kasi.hehe but in terms of benchmark scores Flare is in the top heap. Kaya di ka magsisisi basta dala ka lang ng charger. :)

Try nyo bumili ng powerbank, extrabattery rin yun. Sa sounds naman, try nyo ung poweramp, may PREAMP kasi sya, increase ur sounds. Tsaka depende sa earphone na gamit nyo. Tsaka naka custom rom po ako, nakaroot sya. Ang bilis ng performance. Sana makatulong po @jrpeteza
