Philippines Windows 8: Minimum System Requirements

Heard about the new Windows 8 Operating System? Can your device run Windows 8? Here is the list of sytem requirements according to Windows 8's website.

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2 (more info)
RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver


Note: Microsoft says that if your computer can run Windows 7, it'll be able to run Windows 8.

For certain features, Windows 8 has other requirements. To use touch capabilities, you'll need a tablet or monitor that supports multitouch, but some laptops will get extra trackpad gestures.

Issues:
Some applications are not compatible with Windows 8.
Some netbooks with resolution of 1024x600 pixels will have problems with apps snapping.
