hello, I'm trying to buy my Filipina fiance A decent smartphone which will be used on Smarts network. She wants duel Sim, and a phone that can tether to her netbook or mini laptop. What other phones do you recommend at this price point with better features?
Deletety for taking the time to comment. At this price point there are a lot of choices. Alcatel inspire 2 is a good choice. Another is the cherry mobile flare or burst(supports wifi hotspot) for laptop internet. You can also search here some of the best phones for you fiance. :)

No doubt alcatel has better quality control. Research lang po kayo. Or read po some of the user feedbacks on this blog. Marami po yan. Malalaman nyo ang pros and cons. High din possibility na mas lalo kayong di makapili with all the raw facts. :)

i got my inspire 2 last may 15 lng.. kanina nung 2% ang battery nag call ako, wla marining unless i loud speak ko.. hnd cguro normal un.. pachek ko unit ko s smart.. update ko kayo..

Deleteive been reading the comments and i think the pros of this phone is with the internal specs (os and stuffs) but the downside is that it has only 1400 mAh, they shouldve gone with 1800 mAh for this phone, i think it will be a very competitive phone with its price range.... in my opinion, i think flare is a better phone but flare is out in the sun 350 plan,, just went there at Robinson's Dumaguete earlier and they said its not included anymore,, such a shame.... T~T

Deletei have been using this phone for a week now and everything is great with this phone. the only downside with this phone is the battery. this is all expected in smartphones i guess. 9/10 since its just the batt thats the problem. the specs that you get from this phone is amazing. really fast and comfortable..specially since that its the latest android v.

DeleteMr. Nico Calunia, Sa Smart, quite easy lang kumuha ng Inspire 2, lalo kung loyaty user ka. I'm just waiting for my order to arrive. Tried reading every spec of each phone under the Plan 500 All -in. It seems mukhang maganda nga itong Alcatel and ad from what I research the OS of Alcatel has the latest JB compared to GB and ICS. I hope Alcatel is true on what they advertise.

La bang kayong naririnig na feedback about inpire 2's wifi connection? bumili kase ung mama ko nung isang araw nung phone, pero ung internet connection nya paputol-putol. ung tipong after 10 minutes mawawalan ng net, tas kelangan ire-connect mo na naman sa wifi. not sure kung ang problem ay nasa internet namin, or sa phone. Delete..i've been searching for alcatel soleil's specs reviews for sometime now and can't find exactly the right one..i guess soleil and inspire 2 is just the same phones..since soleil is in suncell postpaid plan, i think they changed its unit's name from inspire 2 to soleil..and upon searching for the specs reviews of both phones i found out that they have the same specs..

Deletemay plan aq sa suncel and my phone is cm burst. more than 1 week ko lang sya ngamit tapos ndi na maopen.. sbi nila over charge daw kahit once lang aq naovercharge and after ko naman mcharge nagamit ko pa xa tapos bgla nalang namatay.. dinala ko xa sa service center tapos pagbalik sakin nung phone nagloloko naman ung signal.. so binalik ko ulit, ang sabi papalitan daw ng board. pagbalik sakin ganun pa din ung error..so halos 4 times ko binalik. sa loob lang un ng 2 mos.. 1 week ko lang xa nagamit.. i will try naman ung alcatel since nawalan nko ng pag asa sa burst na yan...
