There was anonymous commenter who asked how to setup the G-sensor for Fusion Bolt. I will try to give general instructions about how to "fix" it.
G-sensor is an ability of a phone to know the forces that are acting on it. If you shift your phone, the screen also changes orientation or some games use G-sensor to know if it goes right or left depending on the device's tilt. I am not 100% sure if it would be working for the Fusion Bolt. But it is worth a try.
1. Verify G-Sensor Settings
Tap "Settings" then "Display." Look for the "Auto-rotate screen" option or the like. Make sure it is checked. Test out your G-sensor. If it does not work, try the next step.
2. Recalibrate your G-Sensor
Tap "Settings" then "Display." Look for "G-sensor Calibration" or the like. Put it on a flat surface, then tap "Calibrate". Wait for the phone to recalibrate and click "OK." Test your G-sensor.
Caution: if this is not done on a flat surface your phone may auto-rotate on wrong angles.
If this is not working, try the next step.
3. Check the Orientation
Tap "Settings" then "Display." Look for "Orientation" or the
like. Check the box. Test your G-sensor. If not then try the next step.
4. Do a Hard Reset
Hold the power button for 3 or more seconds. This will reset your phone. If it is not working then please proceed to the next step.
5. Bring your phone to the store where you bought it.
This sounds like a very heavy thing to do. However, if your G-sensor isn't working there might be other functions that are defective.
The technicians may flash your ROM to factory default. And your G-sensor maybe working after flashing. Advantages of this: (a) you have a phone that feels brand new since it was flashed to default; (b) you did not void your warranty.
A Note For Fusion Bolt Users:
If you are a person who dares to experiment and learn more by doing then you might want to flash your own ROM using this tutorial of "Upgrading Firmware for Cherry Mobile Fusion Bolt." This would increase the functionality of your Fusion Bolt.
I hope this helped. I do not recommend installing apps that promise to fix your G-sensor. There is no software that can fix your missing or defective hardware.
@NicoCalunia
pwede bang magka bluetooth ang fusion bolt?
ReplyDeletei am doubtful if fubo will be able to have bluetooth. Maybe, just maybe, you can use a bluetooth dongle. (:
Deletenatatakot akong iroot ang fubo ko sabi kxe nila masisira daw ung tablet ko .. pls help kung totoo ung sabi nila.
ReplyDeletepls reply kua nico ..
DeleteSorry late reply. If the rooting is not done correctly your phone will be "bricked." That means you will be unable to use the tab. You will also void your warranty. However, if successfully done, you will have admin rights. You can edit folders/files hidden from a common user.
Deletetake note:
Deleterooting >admin rights
flashing >putting modified ROM files
i will try to clear these terms in a future article. (:
For me,ok lng iroot ang fubo as long as you don't modify vital folders/files. Flashing ROMs is riskier.
sino nagsabing nakakasira ang rooting, di sana sira na yang si FuBo bago pa inilabas. why, kasi rooted na ang FuBo upon purchased. matagal nang ginagawa ang rooting since first iteration pa yan nang android. yung ibang manufacturer nga ibinibigay pa source code and inaunlocked pa nila bootloaders for developers.
DeleteWalang risks involved sa rooting. Flashing of firmware ang meron, yung tinatawag nilang BRICKING.
there is a slight possibility that the rooted phone will not work sir vinci. esp f madelete yung vital folder/s from internal memory. but you are right that flashing is more risky than rooting. :)
Deletesalamat po buti may mga ganitong blogsite..
ReplyDeleteI am inspired by comments like this. (:
DeleteSana po makabisita pa kayo ulit. Or bring other people to this site. Yan lang consolation ko from doing this. To learn and help.
ano pong mga games na nid ng root? .. kaya ko kxe niroot ung tablet ko para magamit ko ung POWERAMP at NBA2k13. thnx s reply Sir.
ReplyDeleteI will look into this. I am not really a gamer by the way.hehehe I just use tabs/mobile for browsing and communicating. But I will try to find more apps/games that would need rooting.
DeleteThank you for the info. If mayroon kang matutunan na bago sana mashare mo rin dito. :)
mga games na di available sa Google Play Store...
DeleteHi Nico! Your site is very useful especially that there are no other sites that offer reviews and troubleshooting fusion bolt. Keep up the good job. I really appreciate it. However I am currently having trouble with my gsensor now. It seems able to work properly when I use it on games but my home screen just won't rotate. Do you any ideas on how to fix this? If you recommend that should bring this to a technician, how much do you think I should pay?
ReplyDeleteSalamat po sa compliment. Try to check your settings sa auto-rotate screen. Or anything that has to do with the screen/display settings. I cannot say the price of you bring it to a technician, iba-iba na man kasi ang price nila. Pero if sa akin, kahit Php100 ok na, or kahit softdrinks lang.hahaha
DeleteOh my. How I wish I could meet you up personally. :)) I have tried everything you have listed but nothing really seems to work.
Deleteorion...di ba wala pang one year FuBo mo, why not bring it to CM Service Center?
Deleteagree. :)
