I took this photo, shown below, while ordering a meal from McDonald's Xavier University Branch, Cagayan de Oro City. Anyways, what is all the fuzz about National Breakfast Day?
On Monday, March 18, McDonald's Philippines together with about 5,000 other branches in Asia, the Middle East and South Africa will be celebrating the first National Breakfast Day. The classic favorite grab n' go breakfast item, the McMuffin, will be given away for free to the first 1,000 customers in each branch.
In the Philippines, McDonald's restaurants numbering close to 300 will join in the celebration of National Breakfast Day. In sum, they will be giving away 300,000 free McMuffins (that's 300 multiplied by 1,000).
McDonald's Egg Muffin is a well loved breakfast item-known for its tasty ingredients. This savory muffin is composed of a freshly cracked egg, lightly grilled bacon and delicious American-style cheese in between two perfectly toasted muffins.
A variant of this is called the Sausage Muffin made of beef sausage and cheese sandwiched in between English Muffins.
According to sources, customers can get their free McMuffin via dine-in, take-out or drive-thru on Monday, March 18 from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM. (If there are still remaining.)
So the night before Monday, set your alarms early and head to the nearest McDonald's branch. Let us join in celebrating the National Breakfast Day and enjoy your free tasty McMuffin. Hooray for today!
