Top 3 File Manager for Android

Mar 11, 2013

The Android Market is flooded with file management applications, and a new user is left wandering and wondering with the choices at their disposal. Which one will you pick if you are new to Android?

There are a lot of file managers out there but here are the three best and most downloaded file managers for android that I would strongly recommend. Two of these are free and one is a paid application.

1. Download ES File Explorer (FREE)
ES File Explorer
ES File Explorer is a free, full-featured file and application manager.
It functions as all of these apps in one: file manager, application manager, task killer, cloud storage client (compatible with Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive, Box.net, Sugarsync, Yandex, Amazon S3, and Ubuntu One), FTP client, and Samba client.
It provides access to pictures, music, video, documents, and other files on both your Android devices and your computers.

2. Download Astro File Manager (FREE)
Astro File Manager
ASTRO File Manager has 35 million downloads on the Android Market and 330,000 reviews!
Browse and organize your pictures, music, videos or documents on your phone, tablet, PC or on cloud services like Facebook Photo Albums, Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive. It's like Windows Explorer or Mac’s Finder.
It’s picture view works better than standard galleries and ASTRO is in dozens of Top Ten Android App lists and has been recommended in books.

3. Download Root Explorer (Paid)
Root Explorer
Root Explorer is the ultimate file manager for root users. Access the whole of android's file system (including the elusive data folder!).
Features include SQLite database viewer, Text Editor, create and extract zip or tar/gzip files, extract rar archives, multi-select, execute scripts, search, remount, permissions, bookmarks, send files (via email, bluetooth etc), image thumbnails, APK binary XML viewer, change file owner/group, create symbolic link, "Open With" facility, MD5, create shortcuts.

Feel free to post comments and your opinions on these file managers.
