ReplyDeleteI think you are referring to the One Touch Idol Ultra. :) I am not so sure if this is dual sim but the One Touch Idol Ultra is only one micro sim... :)

ReplyDeleteI was also curious about the 997d. so i researched. The OT 997D is android 4.0, with a 4.3-inch display. I think the one touch idol is better. But I am still unsure if the OT Idol is dual sim. :)

ReplyDeleteIdol vs scribe...mas okay po idol. Pero if you want long lasting battery then go for the Scribe Easy, 2500 mAh kasi battery. :)

Deleteanonymous, it depends on the personality. If you are brand conscious then go with Xperia and if it is for "budget" matters go for alcatel. Remember, alcatel existed since the Nokia-black-and-white days. What i am trying to say that in terms of quality, in my opinion they're just ALMOST THE SAME. Idol and idol ultra are almost the same too...lamang lang ang ultra sa display since LED ang gamit - for a better viewing! Hope this helps!

ReplyDeleteGot one last weekend. i purchased my OT idol from Memoxpress Festival Mall. 6030X ang available sa kanila which has 1GB RAM according to the unit itself. Sobrang gaan nya.
ReplyDeleteMain concern ko lang is yun battery life dahil after a whole day of calls, text, konting games, facebook, pag uwi ko ng bahay ay mga nasa 20% battery life na lang sya.
Another thing is wala pang available na protective casings. inikot ko na yun buong Quiapo para maghanap pero wala talaga. I just got the jelly case for S4, mejo maluwag lang sya but ok na kaysa sa walang protection. you just have to cut on some areas of the casing para mas maging accessible yun volume rocker, usb port, power button, headphone socket and speakers.
Since I'm always in the field, i need a car charger and unfortunately wala pa din available sa malls. I tried to inquire at their local website if where I can buy one and I'm hoping to receive a reply from them. I have with me a generic USB car charger and I'm using it for my galaxy Y. When I tried to use it on my Idol, the phone says it detected an unauthorized charger which can damage the phone. WAAAAAHHH!
But overall, I'm very satisfied with my OT Idol. Pati mga colleagues ko nagandahan sila. Hindi nila malalaman na Alcatel pala sya kung hindi ko pa sinabi at makita yun back cover ng phone which bears the Alcatel logo.
@Michael - may ilang katanungan po sana ako, is the phone openline to other every network? Dual Sim po ba ito? And how much po ito sa Festival?

@ Kenth, open line sya since i bought it from memoxpress. 6030X has single micro sim slot on it. the price, same as stated by Nico, 11,990 (cash basis). =)

ReplyDeleteGot my OT idol yesterday from Sun. maganda. Kaso nga lang madaling malowbat but i understand kasi 1800 mah lang ung battery nya than Scribe. Scribe was my first choice bec. i use to much data. but the Sun customer service told me na halos lahat ng kumuha ng scribe. nagrereklamo kasi maraming problema ung unit and there not releasing it. mas mahal itong idol so ok narin.. so far ok ako sa phone ko..

ReplyDeletemy mom is going to buy OT idol and OT soleil through sun din. kung problema ang battery life, todo force stop nalang siguro ng apps na di kailangan para humaba battery life. i want scribe sana pero kakabasa ko lang from one of the comments here na madami nga daw nagreklamo sa sun :(

ReplyDeleteWell, kagagaLing ko lang sa SUN ngaun. Kc na-approved ako sa plan600 and piniLi ko ung alcatel OT idol nila. When I check the box outer box, they offer 6030a with 512ram lang pala and not 6030x with 1gb ram. Mdyo nadisapoint aq and I decided to hold my application. Anyway 1month nmn dw ung validity ng application. So better luck nxt tym nlng ako. At sana may bagong offer ang plan 600 til august pra ok pa application ko hehe.
ReplyDeletegot the idol na a few days ago. so far so good. no laggings yet, smooth interface at sarap gamitin. battery life lang talaga problema. buy a powerbank if you don't have one.
